Gulfport, FL is a small beach community with an “Old Florida” feel that is gaining popularity for its vibrant arts and culinary scene. Located on the Boca Ciega Bay, Gulfport’s waterfront district includes a sandy beach and a long municipal fishing pier, called Williams’ Pier. Every Tuesday brings a Fresh Market to the waterfront, with vendors offering freshly baked breads, locally grown produce, and hand crafted arts and clothing.

Gulfport’s Beach Boulevard and Shore Boulevard form the heart of the town’s historic arts district. On the first Friday and third Saturday of every month, Beach Blvd comes alive with street performers, artists, and craftspeople creating a relaxed cultured atmosphere for Gulfport’s famous Art Walks. There are many popular dining options along Beach Blvd and Shore Blvd. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner can be enjoyed leisurely, followed by a walk down Shore Blvd to take in the scenic views of Tierra Verde across the bay.

Local residents enjoy Gulfport’s annual festivities including a Labor Day street fair called Gecko Fest, A Christmas lighted boat parade, and SpringFest highlighting local artists in March. Recreational activities are abundant with municipal parks and the Clam Bayou Nature Preserve.

Gulfport continues to thrive as a popular real estate market with colorful single-family homes and condominiums sitting on tree covered streets.
